Britten Centenary Weekend: Ensemble 360 (NB change to advertised programme)

Ensemble 360 (NB change to advertised programme)

Britten Three Divertimenti
Britten String Quartet No.1, Op 25
Shostakovich Piano Quintet
The enterprising and innovative chamber ensemble Ensemble 360 performed at this year’s Aldeburgh Festival and the group’s performances of Britten’s early chamber music are defined by freshness and clarity. They replicate the Belcea Quartet’s advertised programme pairing the youthful Divertimenti with two works written in the same year – Britten’s first quartet and Shostakovich’s piano quintet.
‘Brimming with body and soul with passion, vitality and virtuosity’ – The Independent

***Please note this event replaces the previously advertised Belcea Quartet III event***
