Orford Church

The Parish Church of St Bartholomew, Orford dates from the 12th and 13th centuries. A regular Aldeburgh Festival venue, the church is inexorably linked with Britten as the venue for which his Church Parables – Curlew River (1964), The Burning Fiery Furnace (1966) and The Prodigal Son (1968) – were written and in which they were premiered.
